In a standard Session, when all hosts leave the Session, the instance of the Location and any changes are deleted. In a persistent Session, changes are saved between visits. You could use a persistent Session as a collaboration space that people visit periodically, or to configure a virtual space over an extended period to prepare for an important meeting.
If you want IFX to persist between visits to a persistent Session, you must set the IFX to a shared state. IFX that are associated with a single user are removed when that user leaves the Session. For more information about how to share IFX, see Sharing an object.
Persistent Sessions are only available as part of an ENTERPRISE or EDUCATION subscription, and only specific people may have the permissions required to create them.
