# Persistent and commercial Sessions

In a standard Session, when all hosts leave, the Session ends and any changes are deleted. In persistent and commercial Sessions, changes are saved between visits. Persistent Sessions are intended to be used for group members. For example, you could use one as a collaboration space that people visit periodically. Commercial Sessions are intended to be used with a wider group of people, which includes users with LITE accounts. For example, you could use one for a product showroom or concert.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If you want IFX to persist between visits to a persistent or commercial Session, you must set the IFX to a shared state. IFX that are associated with a single user are removed when that user leaves the Session. For more information about how to share IFX, see [Sharing an object](/engage/advanced-features/modifying-objects/sharing-an-object.md).
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Persistent and commercial Sessions are available only to Enterprise groups.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.engagevr.io/engage/sessions/persistent-sessions.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
