# Locking all users in place

You can use the **Forced Seats** IFX to lock people at a specific point in the environment for the duration of time that this IFX is on your timeline. The IFX includes 35 invisible seats to which people will be locked.

1. From the panel on the left-hand side, select <img src="/files/IoOEPZLPOKWyDb5ynAZd" alt="" data-size="line"> **IFX**.
2. From the library of IFX, select **Forced Seats**.
3. Place the IFX at the location in the environment where you want to lock people.
4. Rotate the IFX so that the arrows point in the direction that you want to be forwards. Users can still turn to look in all directions.
5. Scale the IFX to control the distance between users when locked in place.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.engagevr.io/engage/experience-editor/playback-events/force-seat-all-users.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
