# Loading a spatial recording

A recording is connected to a location. When you load a recording, the default functionality is to move everyone in the Session to the location in which the recording was made. To load a recording in your current location when it was recorded in a different location, see the **Play in current location and place as IFX** setting in [Advanced playback settings](/engage/advanced-features/recordings/spatial-recordings/advanced-playback-settings.md).

To load a recording, complete the following steps:

1. Open your menu or tablet, and then select **Recording** <img src="/files/0WyipQUWwWkSj6aYf4gs" alt="" data-size="line">.
2. On the **Recording** page, select **Device**.
3. Select a recording.
4. On the recording information screen, select **Load**.
5. In the **Load Recording** window, select **Play**.
6. If the recording was made in a different Location, select **Confirm** to move everyone in the Session to the original Location.
