# Installing ENGAGE on macOS

First, check that your computer meets the following minimum requirements:

* Mojave or later operating system
* Intel® Core™ i5 processor or better; at least 2.0 GHz and more than 2 cores
* 8 GB RAM
* AMD Radeon™ Pro 560 4 GB or better dedicated graphics processing unit (GPU)
* 9 GB of available disk space

**Note:** The ENGAGE application works on devices that use the Apple M1 and M2 chips, but we don’t officially support them.

### Using the ENGAGE macOS installer

If your computer meets the minimum requirements, complete the following steps to install ENGAGE:

1. To download the ENGAGE macOS application, go to <https://engagevr.io/engage-download-list/>, select **Desktop**, and then select **Apple Mac**.
2. After you download the app, drag it to your **Applications** folder.

You can now open ENGAGE from your Applications folder. The first time that you open ENGAGE, you may see a warning that you have downloaded the application from the Internet. Select **Open** to continue.

**Note**: If you can't open ENGAGE, you may need to adjust your Security & Privacy settings. For more information, go to <https://support.apple.com/en-ie/HT202491>.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.engagevr.io/engage/getting-started/installing-engage/installing-engage-on-macos.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
