# Computer desktop

If you use the ENGAGE app on a Windows or macOS device, you can share your desktop or a specific application that's open.

1. Open your menu or tablet.
2. Select **Shared Screen** <img src="/files/mxRCYAKDaAyegMDUiR0r" alt="" data-size="line">.
3. On the **Shared Screen** page, select **Desktop**, and then select **View desktop**.
4. Select the screen or application that you want to share.
5. **Optional**: Turn on **Share cursor** to show your mouse cursor on the shared screen.
6. **Optional**: If you use a Windows 11 computer, turn on **Share sound** to share your desktop or application audio through the shared screen. To prevent audio feedback, you can't share sound from the ENGAGE application.
7. Select **Share**.
8. If a warning appears that describes a 5 minute share limit. Select **Continue**. For more information about the share limit, see [Sharing media](/engage/essential-features/sharing-media.md).

To select a different screen or application after you start to share, select **Change source** in the upper left corner of the menu.

To cancel the desktop or application share, select **Stop sharing** in the upper-right corner of the **Shared Screen** page.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you share your desktop for over one hour, a prompt is displayed to confirm if you want to continue sharing.
{% endhint %}

## Interacting with your computer desktop while wearing a VR headset

To use your hand controllers to interact with your shared desktop, select **VR Control**. By default, the controller trigger functions as a left mouse button. To change the controller trigger to function as a right mouse button, turn on the **Right-click** toggle.
