# Changing My Face skin tone

The My Face tool automatically selects a skin tone based on the image that you provide. This skin tone is applied to the avatar's body so that it matches the complexion of the face. If you want to change the automatic selection to a skin tone of your choice, complete the following steps:

1. If the **Change skin tone** option is displayed in the Avatar Editor, as shown in the image above, skip to Step 3.
2. In the **My Face** panel of the Avatar Editor, select **Options**.
3. If you have created more than one My Face, use the left and right arrow buttons to select which My Face you want to adjust.
4. Select **Change skin tone**.
5. In the **Select a new skin** tone panel, select the skin tone that you want to use, and then select **Save & Continue**.
6. Select **Save & Continue**.
