Using your Drawpad

Canvas
The area where you create your drawing.

Tabs
Switch between your personal Drawpad and a public whiteboard, if connected. If the Drawpad isn't connected to a whiteboard, you can use the Whiteboard tab to connect to a whiteboard or create a whiteboard IFX.

Close
Desktop and mobile devices only Close the Drawpad. Note: To close the Drawpad on a VR device, tap the Drawpad icon on your wrist controls.

Save
Save an image of the currently selected tab.

Tool options
Open a settings panel for the currently selected tool.

Eraser
Change the brush to an eraser that paints the background color.

Pens
Choose from three different pen types.

Color picker
Set the color of the currently selected palette slot.

Drag bar
On VR devices, grab this bar and drag to move the Drawpad. You can drag any area around the edge of the Drawpad.

Color palette
Select and configure multiple palette slots.

Menu
Access menu options for the Drawpad.
On a desktop device, use the left mouse button to draw.
On an Android phone or tablet, iPhone, or iPad, drag your finger over the canvas to draw.
On a VR device, use one of the following options:
Move the green dot on your drawing hand into contact with the Drawpad, hold the trigger button, and then move your controller.
Point the ray from your drawing hand's controller at the whiteboard, hold the trigger button, and then move your controller.
On a VR device, complete the following steps to change which hand is your drawing hand:
Select Settings.
In the Settings panel, choose one of the following options:
To draw with your left hand, turn on Left-handed mode.
To draw with your right hand, turn off Left-handed mode.
When you point your controller at the Drawpad, a white outline appears. To move your Drawpad, select any point outside the edge of the Drawpad but within the white outline, and then drag the Drawpad.
To change the size of the Drawpad, grab it as though to move it, and then use the thumbstick on your right controller. Push up to make the Drawpad bigger and down to make it smaller.
You can use the tool options panel to adjust properties of the currently selected pen or eraser. To open the tool options panel, choose one of the following options:
Select a pen or the eraser, and then select it again.
For a pen, you can adjust the thickness and transparency:
For the eraser, you can adjust the thickness, and also access an option to clear the Drawpad:
You can use the color picker to assign a color to a palette slot. To set a color, complete the following steps:
Select a color palette slot.
Select a color. You can also enter a hexadecimal value for a color.
To close the color picker, select an area on the Drawpad outside of the color picker.
If your input device can detect different levels of applied pressure, such as a Logitech MX Ink or Quest Touch controller, you can use those levels to control the thickness of a drawn line. This setting is on by default.
To turn off pen sensitivity so that lines have a constant width regardless of input pressure, complete the following steps:
Select Settings.
In the Settings panel, turn off Pressure Sensitivity.
In the lower-left corner of the Drawpad, select the menu button .
Select a pen or the eraser, and then select the tool options button ().
Select the picker button ().
To save a drawing, select the save icon in the lower-right corner of your Drawpad. The save panel will open, where you can adjust the file name, and then select Save.
