# Cancelling an invitation to connect
If you have sent a invitation to connect with someone, and the other person hasn't accepted, you can withdraw that invitation.

To withdraw an invitation, choose one of the following methods:
## Cancelling from the Invitations page
1. Choose one of the following options:
* On the menu screen, select **Connections**, and then select **Invitations**.
* If you're in a Session, open your menu or tablet, select **People** , and then select **Invitations**.
2. On the **Invitations** page, scroll down to the **Sent connection requests** section.
3. For any invitation that you want to cancel, select .
4. In the confirmation window, select **Cancel request**.

## Cancelling an invitation through a name, username, or email address
1. On the menu screen, select **Connections**.
2. In the upper-right corner of the page, select **Add Connection**.
3. In the **Add new connection** panel, enter the name, username, or email address of the person who you want to cancel the invitation for, and then select **Search**.
4. In the search results, for the invitation that you want to cancel, select the cross icon .
## Cancelling an invitation to someone in the same Session
1. Open your menu or tablet, and then select **People** .
2. On the **People** page, select **In this session**.
3. Select the person for whom you want to cancel the invitation.
4. In the user focus panel, select **Cancel request**.
