# Seating an individual user

To seat an individual user, complete the following steps:

1\. Open your menu or tablet, select **Host Controls** <img src="/files/bTt7cPfqc3Y5PAHZIalW" alt="" data-size="line">, and then select the **Users** tab.

2\. Identify a user and select their more icon <img src="/files/m1uNhuIP0efFNVLzcWim" alt="" data-size="line">.

3\. On the **Host Actions** page, select **Seat**.

4\. Select a seat.

Because you select the seat, the option to seat individual users is compatible with IFX seats.
