# Seating an individual user

To seat an individual user, complete the following steps:

1\. Open your menu or tablet, select **Host Controls** <img src="https://3460182399-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FwVx6bvwqEE7tD0TYOcfj%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-5d15cd4294198b92242e178dd817c68420ebaff4%2Ficon_hosts.png?alt=media" alt="" data-size="line">, and then select the **Users** tab.

2\. 3\. On the **Host Actions** page, select **Seat**.

4\. Select a seat.

Because you select the seat, the option to seat individual users is compatible with IFX seats.
