# Recordings

You can create two types of recording in ENGAGE:

* **Spatial recordings**: Capture all movements, sounds, and events within a 3D space so that it can be played back as an immersive recreation of the time captured. For more information, see [Spatial recordings](/engage/advanced-features/recordings/spatial-recordings.md).
* **Video recording**: Capture a 2D video from the perspective of your avatar or a virtual camera placed in the environment. For more information, see [Video recording](/engage/advanced-features/recordings/video-recording.md).
