# Changing your password in the web manager

{% hint style="info" %}
If you're logged into the web manager and want to change your password, but you can't remember your current password, select your user name in the upper-right corner of the web manager, and then select **Logout** from the list that appears. Then, complete the steps described in [Resetting your password in the web manager](/engage/managing-your-account/managing-your-password/resetting-your-password-in-the-web-manager.md).
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
If SSO is turned on for your account, you can't change your password in the web manager. To change your password, refer to the documentation from your authentication provider.
{% endhint %}

1. Go to [https://app.engagevr.io/](https://app.engagevr.io), and then log in.
2. Select your name in the upper-right corner of the page, and then select **Settings** from the list that appears.
3. On the **SETTINGS** page, select **Change Password**.
4. Enter your current password in the **Current Password** field.
5. Enter your new password in both the **New Password** and **Confirm New Password** fields.
6. Select **Change Password**.

After you change your password, the web manager returns you to the log-in page. Use your new password to log in.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.engagevr.io/engage/managing-your-account/managing-your-password/changing-your-password-in-the-web-manager.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
