Each Session has a limit on the number of users that can join it. The type of Session determines the maximum capacity, as shown in the following table. However, when a user creates a Session, they can select a lower capacity.
Session type | Maximum capacity |
---|---|
Created by an ENTERPRISE user | 70 |
Created by a PLUS user | 10 |
Created by a LITE user | 2 |
Persistent Session | 70 |
Event created by an ENTERPRISE user | 70 |
Event created by a PLUS user | 10 |
ENGAGE LINK plaza | 50 |
Scalable Session | 50 |
The maximum number of users that can share a space and have a stable, comfortable experience under ideal conditions is 70. If you're an ENTERPRISE user, you can create Sessions that use this maximum technical capacity.
However, you may want to set a lower capacity in order to create a more intimate experience or if the content will be computationally demanding. For example, if you intend to use many IFX or 3D scans, or if the users who will join have low powered devices or poor network connections.
In the ENGAGE application, the current number of users in a Session and the maximum capacity are shown in multiple places. For example, in the list of Sessions and on the top bar of the menu when in a Session.
