# Changing your menu screen environment

By default, the background environment on the menu screen is the ENGAGE LINK Central Plaza. If your headset supports mixed reality, you can change the background to the view through your passthrough camera.

To choose between a virtual environment and your passthrough camera background on the menu screen, complete the following steps:

* On the menu screen, in the upper-right corner, select <img src="/files/PCjqep1FzgkHYTLk4ATQ" alt="" data-size="line"> (settings) , select <img src="/files/ZgHKfukE6FkQEiOm9aMJ" alt="" data-size="line"> **Mixed Reality**, and then select either **Use MR passthrough in menu screen** or **Use VR background in menu screen**.
