You can access effect options for an object to edit various settings. To access the effect options page, choose one of the following options:
Select the cog icon on the timeline container.
Select an object, and then select IFX options on the left-hand side of the editor panel.
All object types share a common set of settings, which appear on the left-hand side of the Current Effect Options window.
If you change any of the effect options, select SAVE SETTINGS. Otherwise, any changes are discarded when you leave the Current Effect Options page.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Effect | The name of the effect associated with this object container. |
Custom Name | A custom name for the object that's displayed on the timeline. For more information, see Setting a custom name. |
Start Time | The start time for the object container on the main timeline. For more information, see Adjusting start and end times. |
End Time | The end time for the object container on the main timeline. For more information, see Adjusting start and end times. |
Fade In | The animated effect to apply when the object first appears on the timeline. Select Fade In to cycle through different options. |
Fade Out | The animated effect to apply after the object is no longer visible on the timeline. Select Fade Out to cycle through different options. |
Relative To | Whether the position of the object is relative to the world or the user. World Position is the default. If you change this setting to User Position, the object will follow the user as they move. Select Relative To to toggle between World Position and User Position. |
Each type of object has its own specific set of options. These options are displayed to the right of the common effect options. For more information about the options for an object type, see the following sections.
