The orca

For the orca whale, we’ll animate it to come directly towards the user, and then swim under the arch. You'll follow a similar process to when you animated the school of clown fish. The following image provides an overview of the planned animation:

Position 1

  1. Move the playhead to the start of the orca recording.

  2. Add an orca whale to the environment and place it in the distance, so that it is barely visible.

  3. Add a key for the start position.

  4. On the timeline, extend the orca IFX container to be the same length as the orca recording container.

Position 2

  • Move the playhead to the middle of the container, move the orca whale close to the presenter, and then add a key.

Position 3

  • Move the playhead to the end of the container, move the orca through the archway, and then select add a key.

Fine-tune the animation

Review your animation. Ensure that the orca is hidden at the end of the animation. If the orca clips through the wall of the arch, move the playhead to the problem point on the timeline, move the orca so that it doesn’t clip through the wall, and then add a key.
