Immersive Effects (IFX)

Immersive Effects (IFX) are objects that you can add, move, and delete in a Session in ENGAGE. If you add objects to a location in Unity, you can't delete or duplicate those objects after you load that location in ENGAGE. In contrast, you have full control over objects that you add as IFX, and you can use them in any location.

You can create IFX that are static, such as 3D models or audio, animated, or interactive. For interactive IFX, you can apply scripts that are included in the SDK. If a single script doesn't provide all of the functionality that you want, you can apply multiple scripts and link their functionality together.

Use only the scripts provided in the ENGAGE SDK. You can't add your own or third-party scripts to IFX.
