# Using classic Canvas quizzes

If you import a classic quiz from Canvas into ENGAGE, and you want to return the results from ENGAGE back into Canvas, you must first enable the `Users - act as` and the `Submit on behalf of student` permissions.

{% hint style="info" %}
You don't need to enable these permissions if you use only LTI quizzes, or if you don't want to send results from ENGAGE back to Canvas for a classic quiz.
{% endhint %}

For instructions on how to enable the permissions, refer to [How do I set permissions for an account-level role?](https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Admin-Guide/How-do-I-set-permissions-for-an-account-level-role/ta-p/213) in the Canvas documentation. You must enable the `Users - act as` and `Submission - Submit on behalf of student` permissions for account admins.
